On the Purpose of Value

We are social beings, so it is natural to want to share and bring value to the world.

Value is a human concept, and the paradigm of human development is closely linked to economic growth, which, in turn, depends on the exploitation or utilization of resources…

At the fundamental level of the economy, those who seek and generate value are us, humans, through the management of land, labor, capital and time, guided by our vision, ideas, and driven by that force that compels us to take action.

Within the economy, humans interact with each other in a continuous exchange of value. If you want to receive an expression of value, you need to provide value first.

  • What kind of value can you offer?,
  • Who would be interested in the value you provide?
  • How are you going to deliver your value?,
  • What form of value are you willing to receive in return?
  • How and when will you receive it?
  • What will you do with the value you receive in exchange for yours?

It remains to be questioned. It seems logical to think that we have an inner instinct to do something in the world. Naturally, all beings do something in the world, but us humans we have the ability to modify it on a larger scale. With our visions and ideas, we transform the world making use of the concept of value to achieve these goals.

Leaving aside many considerations, in economic terms, something is valuable when it is scarce and desired. What would happen then if the necessary elements were suddenly available "unlimitedly" to achieve our goals? Perhaps the paradigm of human development linked to economic growth would change.
